As noted above the NSW Valuer General determines land values, every 3 years providing a notice of valuation to property owners and details of all valuations in the local government area to Council to enable it to levy rates.

You can find out the land value and estimated rates for your property, going back to 2019/20, using this enquiry tool. The 2023/24 Estimate includes IPART's rate peg for 2023/24 of 3.7% (which is the maximum percentage amount by which a Council may increase its general income for the year) and property information as at February 2023. This is an estimate only and is subject to change.

Please note the estimate does not reflect amounts due, rebates or other adjustments, and it does not include Domestic Waste or Stormwater Charges. As this is an estimate it cannot be substituted for actual Rates Notices or Section 603 Certificates and Council cannot be held liable for any difference between the estimate and the rates actually levied for 2023/24.

For comparative purposes:

• Your 2023/24 rates estimate is based on the recent land valuation with a base date of 1 July 2022.
• 2022/23, 2021/22 and 2020/21 rates were based on your land valuation with a base date of 1 July 2019.
• 2019/20 rates were based on your land valuation with a base date of 1 July 2016.

Unable to find your address? Please check the property address listed on your recent rates notice as some properties may have an alternative name.
